Questions & answers
How bigger door opening does a 2 seater require?
For the 2 seater sofa bed with slim armrest, the entry point must be at least the width of the depth of the sofa (102 cm) and the height of the sofa (87 cm).
Date published: 2026-10-19
What is the difference in bed width and length between the 2seater and 3 seater?
Both the 2-seater and 3-seater sofa beds feature a small double mattress with a width of 141 cm and a thickness of 17 cm. The bed length for the 3-seater model is 214 cm.

Is the supplied 25kg/m³ mattress suitable for everyday/nightly use? If not, can it be replaced with a third-party mattress? Please confirm the exact mattress dimensions, maximum thickness and any requirements for the folding mechanism.
I guess you could use it every night, it's quite a good mattress & fairly thick. I wouldn't have thought you could easily replace it with another mattress as it's an unusual size (bigger than a double but not quite a king). It also has to fold back up when you shut the sofa which is a fairly tight squeeze as it is.
Date published: 2026-09-13
Mattress Density - I'm considering a sofa bed from your range and have two questions before ordering: 1. What is the foam density of the mattress, in kg/m³? 2. Is the mattress removable and available to order separately as a replacement part?
Hi, thanks for your question.
The mattress (H - 17 cm) is flame-retardant polyurethane foam density 25kg/cbm, covered with flame retardant polyester wadding. Mattress is removable, however these are not able to order separately.
Hope this helps!

Hi, thanks for your question.
The size of the bed is a standard double bed, with a length of 48 cm, a width of roughly 90 cm, and a mattress thickness of 17 cm.
Hope this helps!

Barete 2 Seater Sofa Bed with Slim Armrest
My bed settee has exceeded my expectations 😊
I’ve had several bed settees over the years but this poltron by SCS is by far the very best.
I’m amazed at its compactness and ease of use. It fascinates me how the mechanics of it work. No moving cushions everything just folds under and you have a bed! Totally brilliant design. Fabulous proper mattress!! Congratulations on a super piece of furniture best I’ve ever had!!
Just love it 👏👏
