Between 2024 and 2025, poltronesofà invested £57m in transforming all 97 ScS stores across the UK. Carpets, flooring and dining furniture were removed entirely. Every store was redesigned around a single focus: sofas and armchairs.
Inside, you’ll now find up to 80 poltronesofà collections - Italian-inspired, available in over 250 fabrics, leathers and colours, and most made to order. The layouts have changed too: more space to sit, compare and take your time.
The advisors are the same people, but with new expertise. The entire team completed hours of specialist training covering materials, construction, design and how to help you find the right sofa for the way you actually live.
On 12 March 2026, all 97 ScS stores relaunched as “poltronesofà at poltronesofà”.

poltronesofà is now available across 97 stores throughout the UK - every former ScS location transformed to bring you the full poltronesofà experience.
All 97 stores carry the full poltronesofà collection - walk in at any time, browse over 250 fabrics and leathers, try the sofas for yourself, and speak to one of our trained advisors. Inside, you will find up to 80 poltronesofà collections across over 250 fabrics, leathers and colours. Most sofas are made to order, which means what you see in the showroom is a starting point: the fabric, the colour, the size and the configuration are all yours to choose. Rather than browsing small swatches in a sample book, poltronesofà stores display large fabric and leather panels that you can place directly onto the sofa to see how the material looks and feels in context.
The sofa specialists across all 97 stores have completed in-depth training, covering materials, construction, design and how to match a sofa to the way you actually live. That means practical guidance: which fabric works if you have a busy home, which foam density suits your needs, which recliner mechanism fits how you sit.
You do not need a free appointment to visit, but you can book one if you prefer a dedicated time with a specialist.
