poltronesofà at ScS is where Italian-inspired sofa design meets one of Britain’s most established furniture retailers.
In January 2024, poltronesofà Group acquired ScS and invested £57m in transforming all 97 stores across the UK. On 12 March 2026, ScS began trading as “poltronesofà at ScS”, with the majority of its range now exclusively poltronesofà collections — sofas and armchairs inspired by Italy, available in over 250 fabrics, leathers and colours.
poltronesofà has brought its Italian-inspired sofa collections to the UK — but the things that matter to you haven’t changed. Your deliveries are handled by the same team, your warranties are honoured, and your local store is still where it’s always been. What’s changed is what you’ll find inside: new designs, a much wider choice of materials, and a team of advisors trained at the poltronesofà design university in Italy.

Where can I buy poltronesofà in the UK?
poltronesofà is exclusively available at ScS in the UK.
That means you'll only find this collection with us - in our showrooms across the country and right here online. We’ve heard you can pick up cheap flights to other poltronesofà locations across Europe though! However, we’d struggle to choose from the 165 locations in Italy, 127 in France, 11 in Belgium, 10 in Switzerland, 2 in Cyprus and 1 in Malta! If you do decide to make the trip, send us a postcard!

Is ScS closing down?
No - quite the opposite.
All 97 ScS stores remain open across the UK, and they’ve just had the biggest investment in the company’s history: £57m to redesign every store from the ground up. ScS now trades as “poltronesofà at ScS”, offering exclusively Italian-inspired sofa collections from poltronesofà.
The stores are the same locations you know, with the same team — but with new layouts, new collections, and advisors who’ve completed specialist training at the poltronesofà design university in Italy.
ScS hasn’t closed; it’s evolving.
