Sassuolo is a contemporary Italian-inspired sofa collection from poltronesofà. The range features a high-back design with generous cushioning and is available in three configuration levels: static, power recliner and tech. The collection includes 2 and 3 seater sofas, an armchair, a power recliner chair and storage footstools, with 288 fabric and leather options. Every piece is made to order.
All three versions share the same design and construction: foam and pocket spring seat cushions, a supportive high-back profile and softly cushioned armrests. The difference is in the features. The static sofa has no electronic functions. The power recliner adds app-controlled reclining, adjustable power head tilt, USB charging ports and Bluetooth speakers built into the headrest. The tech version includes everything in the power recliner, plus under seat LED lighting and a massage function. Both the power recliner and tech versions are controlled through the free poltronesofà Smart Sofa app, available on iOS and Android.
The poltronesofà Smart Sofa app connects to your Sassuolo via Bluetooth (no Wi-Fi needed) and lets you control the power recliner, head tilt and Bluetooth speakers on the power recliner models, with additional control of under seat LED lighting and massage on the tech models. You can save up to three favourite positions and return to them with a single tap. Multiple phones can connect, though only one device controls the sofa at a time. The app is free and available on Apple devices running iOS 11.0 or later and Android devices running Android 6.0 or later.

Every Sassuolo is made to order in your chosen material and colour. Every poltronesofà Sassuolo sofa and armchair uses a combination of foam and pocket springs in the seat cushions. This provides balanced comfort and lasting support. Pocket springs help the cushions maintain their shape and appearance over time. Back cushions are generously padded with foam for a soft, supportive feel. All seat and back cushions are fixed for a neat, structured look.

Our in-store specialists can guide you through the different configurations (static, power recliner and tech), help you compare fabrics and leathers, and find the right size for your room. You do not need an appointment. If you would like a dedicated session, you can book one in advance. As Gabriele Pittau, poltronesofà Chief Design Officer, puts it: “Don’t choose a sofa with your eyes. Try it, test it, sit on it. Spend five minutes sitting down, close your eyes as if you were at home. When you find the right balance of comfort, aesthetics and feeling, that is the moment you have found your sofa.”
Sassuolo fabric sofas should be professionally cleaned only. For everyday maintenance, remove dust with a soft brush or vacuum on a low setting. Avoid direct sunlight to prevent fading. Leather options should be wiped with a dry cloth and conditioned periodically. Full care guides are available at the time of purchase.
Every poltronesofà Sassuolo comes with a 20-year frame guarantee. Delivery includes assembly in the room of your choice, with careful unpacking and removal of all packaging materials. Delivery is available Monday to Saturday across the UK.
